The Mumbai Metro Line 2A – AC01 is a Part Design and Built Elevated Metro Rail Project with total length of 9.002 Km Elevated Viaduct including Station with 9 Elevated Stations (Dahisar East, Anand Nagar, Rushi Sankul, IC Colony, Eksar, Don Bosco, Shimpoli, Mahavir Nagar, And Kamraj Nagar) passing through busiest New Link road from Dahisar East to Kamraj Nagar in Mumbai Suburban Region.
The Mumbai Metro Line 2A has been extremely challenging in terms of execution as it crosses some of the most congested areas in one of the most important cities of the country, Mumbai with various challenges such as presence of underground utilities, Dense Moving traffic etc.
One of the most complicated construction challenges in urban areas is presence of underground utilities. Identification and Diversion of underground utilities some of which are more than 100 years old and having no records with Municipal Corporation is a difficult task. Managing and accommodating utilities can require in-depth design and a comprehensive integration plan. A construction team must keep utilities relocation at the top of their to-do list during the urban construction process. With years of experience in construction in highly populated urban areas, our team is well-versed in tackling these challenge. Furthermore, the project is having various special spans including massive structural steel span of 75m length at railway crossing over Western Railway track at Dahisar ROB and various major steel bridges over Nallah and Road junction spanning in length from 45m to 51m.
This is the first time in India that JKUMAR has used Unique method of constructing a station with full precast concept i.e. Entire super structure at concourse and platform level being constructed with various types of pre cast elements and launched successfully within a record time. All the 17 metro stations of AC-01 and AC-02 were successfully completed with this concept. Total 5187 numbers precast elements were casted and launched. The total weight of pre cast elements was in tune of approximately 5,00,000 metric tonne which were launched with the use of heavy cranes having capacity between 250 to 500 tonne on the busiest roads of the city of Mumbai. Now the innovative concept of this precast station is well accepted method in all across India and has set new benchmark in the Industry. For casting of precast elements a massive set ups with numerous Overhead Gantries and various type of shutter moulds, were facilitated in two Precasting yards located at two locations. All the casting moulds were optimally accommodated in the available space for its optimum utilization.

Charkop, Malad Metro, Kasturi Park, Bangur Nagar, Goregaon
Metro, Adarsha Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and D N Nagar (excluding
architectural finishing and pre-engineered steel roof structure
) from chainage 8283.501m to 18181.343m including third track at
Shastri Nagar station and viaduct Ramp for depot entry of
Dahisar (East)-D N Nagar corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project.
